Ancient Rome is full of exciting stories like the rape of Lucretia. It tells the story of Lucrece's rape and tragic death, as well as the desire for revenge that follows. Some say that her death inspired a roman revolution. In this work, the main character laments their unfair fate or injustice, which has led to this work being classified as a complaint poem. Women who have been raped were considered guilty of adultery by ancient Romans, even though they had not given themselves freely. Lucretia murdered herself in shame after being raped by the Tarquins and making her father and husband swear vengeance against them. This story tells us a lot about ancient Rome and its point of view.
